How it began...
Aegean Pride Building
The Aegean Pride brand was created in 2002, but our roots go back much further than that. We began more than 30 years prior, as Premium Meats, Inc., a small custom cut butcher shop. With our company name and reputation for quality growing locally, we began supplying local restaurants and regional food distributors. By the mid 1970’s Premium Meats, Inc. had received numerous requests to produce gyro meat cones. From here we produced not only the gyro cones but a full line of Greek specialty meats including cooked and raw gyro loaves and slices as well as souvlaki.
As this market segment continued its rapid growth, the management team knew it was time to differentiate the Greek specialty products from our other products and branch out of the Midwest region to pursue national distribution. This is when the Aegean Pride name was officially launched. The Aegean Pride name not only helped create brand recognition, it symbolizes the principals of quality and integrity that we were founded upon. As part of a large scale marketing campaign to create and expand brand recognition, we introduced our current Shield Logo as we grew into new markets across the United States.
Although always based out of Warren, Ohio we moved across the city to our current larger location in 1987. Since our move we have undergone 3 major expansions, most recently in 2010, when we bought the adjacent property to add extra manufacturing and warehouse space. We now operate over 40,000 square feet of manufacturing space and have plans in place to increase capacity, as well as manufacture new items to add even more diversity to our always growing line of Mediterranean foods
Today, Aegean Pride products can be found nationwide. As a company, we are always striving to grow into new markets and provide our customers with high quality products and exceptional service, at competitive prices.
